If you love t-shirts and easy long sleeve shirts, the new tropicalresearch minimalist t-shirt sewing pattern is just what you are looking for! The cut is uncomplicated and straight with a boxy fit that is inspired by the classic tees of the 80’s and 90’s. There is no waist shaping or armhole shaping for that matter which makes the sleeve very easy to sew. I’ve included 2 sleeve lengths and 2 bodice lengths for plenty of sewing fun.

the minimalist t-shirt sewing pattern is unisex and boxy, I’ve added the size xxs just in case you want to make a really small one for older kids or petit sewists! Anastasia is around 170 cm tall and wears a size S both in crop and full length. The minimalist T-shirt has less ease than the trlazytop but it’s made for jersey with around 10% stretch which gives us the needed comfort.

HOW MUCH FABRIC DO YOU NEED
for the minimalist t-shirt? – good question!
the minimalist t-shirt pattern is designed for cotton jerseys with a moderate amount of stretch. You will need around 1,5 m (1,7y) @160cm (63″) for a long version with long sleeves, a crop version with short sleeves requires around 1m (1,1y) of knit, other combinations require something in between!
