MATERIAL CONSUMPTION

The Aria works best and for all sizes on 150 cm ( 60″) wide fabrics – the standard length of the aria dress requires 3m of fabric. The smaller sizes can get away with narrower fabric qualities. By reducing the shirt length you can easily reduce the fabric consumption.

which fabric do you want to use?

I recommend light fabrics that drape and fall. Linen, cotton & viscose work great with the pattern. Crêpe de chine, silk satin or georgette turn the aria dress into a glamorous gown, try and experiment & share your version of the aria dress with me !

Beginner or pro?

making the aria dress is an easy project with clear and pretty illustrations that guide you step by step through the process. If you are already a seasoned sewist give the aria dress your personal twist!

I like to gather my fabrics by hand but gathering footers are a great alternative
