The Lazy Top sewing pattern has 3 built in lengths included. the full length is 70-76 cm long, the hip crop length 47-53 cm long and the short waist crop 38-44 cm depending on which size you make 🙂
Play around and experiment with different lengths and gathered extensions to create a variety of different looks and styles. The ruffle extension adds around 10 cm ( 4″) to the overall length.
The long gathered extension turns the lazy top into a lazy dress! Add the 66 cm extension to any bodice length to create your favourite new smock dress.
the short gathered extension is great for creating smock blouses and minidresses! The extension piece will add 34 cm ( 13.4″) to the overall length and you can combine it with any bodice length! in total there are 54 possible combinations of the sleeves – bodice lengths the 2 different necklines and 3 gathered extensions.
7 different sizes
The Lazy Top is boxy, oversized and unisex, the pattern is flat and super basic and drapes around the body. It’s a big box with sleeves and it’s awesome! Lovely Nastya is wearing a size S throughout the pics. She is 170 cm tall.

HOW MUCH FABRIC DO YOU NEED
for the lazy top? – good question!
the lazy top has many variations so the fabric requirements vary depending on the style you chose! For a little sleeveless crop top you can get away with just 0,5m of fabric for a long version just 1 m. Add long sleeves and you need another 0,5 m of fabric. If you plan on making a long and flow dress 3m at 60″ fabric width are ideal!
